Custom Wooden Tables Launches Online Designer to Build Custom Tables in 3D and AR

STATHAM, GA, UNITED STATES, October 19, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — Custom Wooden Tables, the Statham, Georgia custom table maker also known as 1 of 1 Woodworker, has launched an online table designer at customwoodentables.com/design-your-table. Customers can lay out a custom table, kitchen island top, countertop or bar top to the exact inch, see it in 3D, and place it at true size in their own room with augmented reality (AR) from an iPhone or Android phone. The designer went live on October 17, 2026.

The designer covers dining tables, desks and console tables, along with island tops, countertops and bar tops. Tables can be rectangular, round or live edge. Tops for islands, counters and bars can be straight or L-shaped, with a straight or live edge. Sizes are entered in inches, and tables can run up to 300 inches (25 feet) long and 96 inches wide. Thickness can be set from 3/4 inch to 6 inches.

Customers choose from 27 wood species, including black, claro, Bastogne and English walnut, white oak, live oak, old growth redwood, guanacaste and monkey pod. A top can be a live-edge slab or glued-up boards, with options for board width, mixed-wood stripes and breadboard ends. Resin layouts include a center or off-center river, two rivers, an edge pour, a full encased pour, or resin that fills only natural cracks and voids, with pigment colors from Black Diamond Pigments. Customers also pick a finish sheen (matte, satin or gloss) and a finish type, or ask the shop to recommend one.

For the base, the designer offers more than 100 steel bases and legs from Flowyline Design. The bases are matte black powder-coated steel, and the legs come in matte black or brushed gold, depending on the model. The designer checks each table against Flowyline’s sizing guide and flags designs that fall outside it. Customers can also choose a custom wooden base built by the shop, with 10 wooden base designs including farmhouse trestle, pedestal and turned-leg styles, or ask Barrett to recommend a base.

The 3D model updates as each choice is made. On a phone, a “View in your room (AR)” button places the design at true size, so customers can check its length, width and height against their own space. Designs can be saved, shared with others by link, or downloaded as a spec sheet. A completed design goes to the shop as a quote request, with no payment taken online. Barrett reviews every design before it is built, and the actual slab is chosen with him.

“Most people know what they want but have a hard time picturing it in the room,” said owner Dave Barrett. “Now they can set the exact size, pick the wood and the base, and then stand in their dining room with a phone and see the table at full size before we build anything. I still look at every design myself, and we pick the real slab together.”

Lead times vary by project, and some pieces can take six to 12 months. The shop gives a specific timeline with each quote.

Customers can also see slabs in person at the company’s wood gallery at 1946 Railroad Street in Statham, inside Dave’s Appliance & Home.
