Pivot Bio CEO Chris Abbott and USDA Secretary of Agriculture Brooke Rollins with the Fenner family.
The presentation was part of Pivot Bio’s Year of One Million Thanks Buddy Seat Tour, which made the 2026 Farm Progress Show one of its signature stops.
“The Fenner family represents so much of what is special about American agriculture, a deep commitment to family, to the land and to building something that can be passed from one generation to the next,” Abbott said. “Meeting Evelyn, Hudson and Hans is a powerful reminder that the future of farming is already growing up in families like theirs. The Pivot Pathways program is our way of putting real support behind that future. We want farm families to know that we believe in their children, we believe in the life they are building together, and we believe the next generation deserves every opportunity to carry American agriculture forward.”
“It was incredibly meaningful to have Secretary Rollins there with us to surprise the Fenner family and share in such a special moment,” Abbott said. “Having her help us recognize the Fenners brought home exactly what Pivot Pathways is about: turning our commitment to farm families into something that can make a real difference for generations to come.”
The contributions are part of the Pivot Pathways: A Generation Grant, a program Pivot Bio launched during this past summer to invest in the next generation of farm families and company team members. The program provides contributions inspired by the recently established Invest America initiative, also known as Trump Accounts, creating a new way for families to build long-term savings for their children. Built on the belief that strong farms create strong communities, Pivot Pathways reflects a longer-term commitment to the families who sustain American agriculture.
“We never expected something like this when we came to the Farm Progress Show,” said Devon Fenner of Fenner Farms. “Surprising each of our three kids with a Pivot Pathways contribution, and getting to meet and spend time with Secretary Rollins, was something we’ll never forget. It means so much to know that a company we trust on our farm is also willing to invest in the next generation. We are incredibly grateful to Pivot Bio for making this such a special moment for our family.”
Beginning with the 2027 growing season, eligible farmer customers can receive annual Generation Grant contributions ranging from $1,000 to $5,000 per farm family to support a child, grandchild or someone connected to the future of the farm. Families can choose to invest those funds in a Trump Account.
