STAMFORD, Conn., Sept. 14, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Yuma, a DCG subsidiary building and investing in infrastructure for open-source, specialized AI on the Bittensor network, today reported expansion across its validator, asset management, and accelerator businesses in 2026, with more than $200 million in TAO and subnet tokens now staked to its Bittensor validator.
This milestone makes Yuma the largest owned-hardware validator on Bittensor less than two years after the company’s founding. Validators assess the quality and accuracy of the Bittensor network’s AI outputs and help the network run efficiently. In 2026, Yuma signed agreements with some of the world’s largest digital asset exchanges, including Bitget, MEXC, and Crypto.com. Crypto.com serves 150 million users and MEXC distributes into 170 countries. Talisman Wallet, Colossus Digital, and SimplyTao also went live as distribution partners this year.
“Yuma exists to accelerate Bittensor’s growth, and in 2026 we’re starting to see results at scale,” said Evan Malanga, Chief Revenue Officer at Yuma. “Enabling TAO staking for hundreds of millions of users, backing teams that sign major enterprise firms as partners, and seeing demand for a third institutional ecosystem fund are all clear signs that Bittensor resonates with AI builders, enterprise buyers, and investors alike.”
In June, Yuma Asset Management launched the Yuma Total Market Fund, its third investment vehicle. The fund provides institutional and accredited investors a single strategy with exposure to TAO, the native token of the Bittensor network, and to the network’s ecosystem of 120+ AI projects. The fund offers broader Bittensor ecosystem exposure than Yuma’s other funds and secured seed capital from a substantial new anchor investor.
Teams and subnets supported by the Yuma Accelerator signed numerous enterprise partnerships in 2026. In Bittensor, machine intelligence capabilities are delivered via open marketplaces called subnets.
Innerworks, the company behind RedTeam, a cybersecurity subnet, last month announced partnerships with five new enterprise clients to begin protecting infrastructure that processes more than one billion weekly transactions.
Bitsec, a codebase-auditing subnet, commercialized its Sentios continuous audit system and in June outperformed Anthropic’s frontier model in a vulnerability identification test.
Manako, the company behind Score, a physical AI video analysis subnet, formed an alliance with a ubiquitous global consultancy in April to bring physical AI to enterprise clients. Their product has been deployed across 100+ Avia carwashes for uptime and security enablement, with plans for thousands more deployments in progress.
Yanez, an identity verification subnet, partnered with BitMind on deepfake detection, achieving 98% detection accuracy across 300,000 adversarial face images per a June announcement, and went live with Syklo and dFusion AI as the first partners for its proof-of-humanhood and proof-of-uniqueness products.
Yuma has accelerated 20 subnets since the program’s launch. The current subnet cohort’s aggregate token market cap has grown 134% in 2026.
