The news comes at a critical time for school security after 235 incidents involving a gun were reported at K-12 schools in 2025 alone. Rethinking the Checkpoint Itself

The A-Series weapons detection AI assisted X-ray line of products and corresponding technology platform eliminate the traditional operator console entirely. There is no legacy keyboard, fixed workstation, or screener chained to a console. Instead, operators easily review scans on an iPad gesture interface. In tight installations like hospital lobbies and some school entrances, removing the console frees up roughly three feet of floor space.
