The IntelliPaaS integration links KOHPA’s partner portal to Salesforce, went live in under five weeks and onboarded 75 partners in month one.
DACHAU, GERMANY, September 18, 2026 /EINPresswire.com/ — German cleantech manufacturer KOHPA has replaced a manual quotation process averaging 35 minutes per opportunity with a self-service workflow that completes in seconds, using a real-time, bi-directional integration built by IntelliPaaS between KOHPA’s partner portal and Salesforce. The production system went live in under five weeks from kick-off and onboarded 75 partners in its first month of operation.
Key facts
– Manual quote building averaged 35 minutes per opportunity, with the longest cases close to an hour. Partners now build quotations themselves and each project reaches Salesforce within seconds.
– Kick-off to production took under five weeks, covering stakeholder management, the integration build and go-live.
– Seventy-five partners were onboarded in the first month of operation.
– More than 260,000 requests were absorbed during a demand spike in that first month, with no interruption to partner quoting or lead capture.
– The integration runs inside KOHPA’s own Microsoft Azure environment. No new cloud tenant was created and no third-party security review was required.
– Partner and account records stay aligned in both directions and Salesforce remains the system of record for pipeline reporting.
What partners used to do
Each quotation required staff to calculate heating output, strip layout, linear measurements, transformer and thermostat requirements and tiered pricing. Regional differences in currencies, voltages and units of measurement added further complexity. Partners worked from a spreadsheet calculator and traded revisions by email. Partner and opportunity information sat across Outlook, spreadsheets, email and WhatsApp, which left KOHPA’s leadership without a structured view of active partners, open opportunities or regional demand.
What the integration does
Projects created in the partner portal are captured as structured data and mapped to Salesforce opportunities, giving KOHPA a live view of partner activity, pipeline and regional demand for production planning, material forecasting and investor reporting. The integration provisions portal access automatically once a partner completes training, on-site assessment and final approval and routes inbound leads from Salesforce to the right partner.
“We invented a breakthrough product and built a fast-growing partner network, but our systems couldn’t keep pace with either. Every quote took my team almost an hour to build by hand and nobody could tell me how the partner network was performing without stitching together five spreadsheets. IntelliPaaS gave us one system where quotes build themselves and I can see the entire pipeline live.”
Peter Helfer, Founder and CEO, KOHPA
“KOHPA needed partner data moving between two systems without moving it out of their own environment. The integration runs inside KOHPA’s Azure tenancy, so no new cloud tenant was created and no third-party security review was needed and it reached production in under five weeks.”
Matt Soltau, Global Director, Strategy and Operations, IntelliPaaS
Method
All figures come from KOHPA’s own portal and integration logs covering the first month of production operation. The 35 minutes is KOHPA’s average time to build a quotation manually before the integration; individual quotations ran up to approximately one hour, which is the figure Peter Helfer cites. Delivery time is measured from kick-off to go-live.
Limitations
Results reflect KOHPA’s environment, product configuration and partner mix and are not a guarantee of identical outcomes. The quotation comparison is between a spreadsheet and email process and an automated one, not between IntelliPaaS and another integration platform. The five-week delivery covered one portal-to-Salesforce integration. The request volume describes a single demand spike in one month rather than sustained throughput.
Availability
IntelliPaaS delivers portal-to-Salesforce integrations of this type for manufacturers running partner or distributor networks, deployable in the customer’s own cloud tenancy or on-premises.
